• Hybrid Extension Port- Allows user to connect either key telephone or single line telephone as and when required.

• Door Phone / Door Lock – Support up to 4 door phones. When a visitor press the call button of door phone, all pre-assigned extensions will ring. User can answered and talk to visitor. To open the door, user can just press a function code to release the electromagnetic lock.

• Day / Night / Lunch Mode – the system provides Day / Night and Lunch mode feature that changed the system behavior according to the time of day. User can pre-assigned which phone to ring for incoming calls and prevent outgoing calls at night.

• External MOH / Paging – KX-TES824ML provides interface for external music on hold (MOH) allowing user to play customized on hold music while external paging interface for Public Address (PA) system allowing user to page via extension phone.

• Least Cost Routing – Enable this feature, KX-TES824ML automatically route an outgoing call to the lowest cost trunk (telco) based on dial number.

• SMDR – Station Message Detail Recording is a built-in feature-allowing user connects to call billing system. Call billing system helps the management to monitor and manage the company’s telephone usage.

• External Back-up Battery – The system provide interface to connect to external battery. In the event if there is power failure, the system continue to operate as normal running on battery power.

• Caller ID (Optional) – This feature display caller’s telephone number on user’s LCD display phone (KX-T7730) when received incoming calls.

• Auto-attendant – The system support DISA (Direct Inward System Access) function that allows outside callers to access any extension with a customized voice greeting without going through an operator.

Efficient call Handling
UCD (Uniform call Distribution) with message Improves the company image. Important business calls will not be missed. Shares the operator load. For handling many incoming calls quickly and efficiently, this feature allows incoming calls to be distributed uniformly to a group of extensions. if all stations in the UCD group are busy, the system will play a message to the caller & ndash; acting like a receptionist. If still the UCD group remains busy, the call can be sent to a secondary DISA. this is especially useful for an office where many calls arrive at a group and there is only one person to take calls (queuing feature)

Call Forwarding
(Busy / no Answer / Follow-Me / to Outside) Incoming, intercom and transferred calls to your extension can be forwarded to another destination when you are on the phone or away from your desk. Calls can be directed to a preprogrammed number, such as your mailbox, another phone, or even outside your office building, improving efficiency and overall customer service. & ldquo; Follow me & rdquo; programming allows you to remotely set call Forwarding from another phone at your office (eg. meeting room), so calls to your extension will reach you while you are away from your desk.

Day / Night / Lunch Mode
The system provides Day/Night; and Lunch mode features, which can be used to change system functions according to the time of day. For example, you can designate which phones will ring for incoming calls after hours, or prevent outgoing calls at night.

Door phones, Door Openers, and Doorbells (optional card required)
On the Panasonic KX-TEM 824 up to 4 door phones can be connected to the system. When a visitor presses a door phone button, the pre-assigned extension telephone will ring and the extension user can answer the call to talk to the visitor. Standard doorbells can also be connected to the system to indicate door phone calls with the familiar chime sound. Ringing, by doorbell, or by both can indicate Door phone calls. if an optional Door Opener is connected, the extension user can even open the door and let the visitor in.

The Panasonic KX-tEM 824 PBX system allows an extension user to notify the called extension of a message waiting when the called extension is busy or does not answer the call. Pressing the lit MESSAGE button of proprietary telephone can call back the called party automatically.
